Cheap Vegas Wedding Guide

[ad_1]

Nearly every free-standing wedding chapel in Vegas has a cheap wedding package that starts at around $ 200. The price for this package may be a bit more or less depending on the chapel, but $ 200 is pretty standard.

A basic cheap wedding package usually includes a 15 – 20 minute ceremony for 10 – 30 guests, a bouquet with 3 – 6 roses and matching boutonniere, 6 – 12 photos, and traditional wedding music.

The specific features offered by each chapel will vary, so make sure you know exactly what you're getting before you put down a deposit. For instance, some packages only include the use of a silk bouquet for you to use during the ceremony – not fresh flowers you get to keep.

Photography offers vary quite a bit as well. Some chapels give you prints and negatives while others provide a CD. Occidentally, there is an extra charge for the negatives or for additional prints and poses. Most Vegas chapels do not allow photography or video cameras inside of the chapel, although taking pictures outside is usually permitted.

Typically, cheap Vegas wedding packages do not include bride and groom dressing rooms, the minister's donation, or sales tax.

Reservations are strongly recommended, but walk-ins are always welcome as long as there is an opening in the schedule. Weekends and holidays are the busiest times for Vegas chapels.

Additional costs

All Vegas chapels require a mandatory minister's donation of $ 40 to $ 60, even for their cheap wedding packages. This must be cash and is not included in the price of the package.

Most packages are subject to a 7.5% sales tax (this is sometimes, but not usually, included in the price of the package).

Also, you must obtain a marriage license before any Vegas chapel will perform your ceremony. You can get your license for $ 55 dollars at the Las Vegas Marriage Bureau downtown. The Marriage Bureau is open everyday from 8:00 am to midnight.

Purchasing Chapel Time Only

There are a few chapels that allow you to buy "chapel time" for around $ 50 to $ 100. This option does not include any extras – it's a no-frills ceremony for the couple getting married and one or two guests. However, you must still pay the minister fee, which means this option is not quite as cheap as it first appears.

Civil Ceremonies

You can have civil ceremony at the courthouse is $ 50 (cash only). While this is a very beaten-down service, it's one of the cheapest way to get married in Las Vegas since you do not have to pay a minister's donation.

Drive-through Weddings

Drive-through wedding packages in Las Vegas start at around $ 200. Some chapels include limo service to and from your hotel in the price of the package. If you go this route, make sure to tip your driver at least $ 20 (many chapels suggest more).

The Little White Wedding Chapel offers a basic drive-through wedding package for $ 40. Simply pull up to the window, present your marriage license, and in a matter of minutes you'll be ready for the honeymoon!
