DIY Floral Wedding Favors

[ad_1]

Flowers are synonymous with weddings so it is little wonder that many brides choose to give their wedding favors a floral theme. Flowers can lend themselves to any wedding style be it a formal wedding with beautiful roses or a casual beach affair with bright cheerful gerbera's.

If floral favors appeal to you and fancy making your own, then here are a few ideas to help inspire you:

o Soaps – these are great as wedding favors and whilst the favor stores offer up different designs, scents and colors, it is handmade soaps that often have the greater appeal. Making your own soaps is very easy and most craft stores or specialist websites can supply you with everything you need to get started. Look out for floral molds or soap presses which will imprint a floral image on the top of your soaps for you. If you do not fancy making your own look for handmade soaps on websites like Etsy or even Ebay.

o Notelets – creating note cards or thank you notes is very easy, all you need is some nice quality paper and a selection of floral rubber stamps and colored inks. Give each guest a selection of five designs complete with envelopes, which have all been hand stamped by yourself.

o Cookies – these are such a popular favor at the moment it is little wonder they are also one of the most expensive! But you can make your own cookies at home with a floral cutter, you do not even have to ice them as the floral shape speaks for itself!

o Chocolates – making chocolates is actually very similar to making soaps and you will find that many molds come advertised for both! Choose some really good quality chocolate and have a practice run first! Aside from chocolates you could also make chocolate lollipops with a floral theme.

o Cupcakes – another very popular favor at the moment, but one which is so easy to make. Choose a nice flavor for the sponge such as vanilla, chocolate, lemon etc add some melted fondant icing to the top and a sugar craft flower – chocolate cupcakes, iced with chocolate and topped with a pretty sugar craft rose look sensational!

o Flower seeds – seed benefits are fast becoming a popular favor with many brides. Choose some varieties that match flowers in your bouquet and arrangements as your guests are very likely to admire them! You can present them in custom designed seed packs (designed by yourself of course), in small metal tins or in fabric bags.

o Floral decorations – finally if you can not make or even find that perfect favor then choose something that will coordinate anyway and dress up your packaging with some floral decorations. These can include printed ribbons, silk or paper flowers, fresh flowers – although do not add these until the last minute to prevent them from wilting; stickers, tags or labels with a floral design.
