Beauty of Tulum

[ad_1]

A perfect vacation destination for many is a place that is practically always warm and sunny, lush jungle, archaeological ruins and pearly sand touching deep blue waters, just lie back in sleepy, tropical seclusion. You would sleep in cabanas during the night, and relaxing on hammocks during the day. An iguana should as kindly come across your paths as a human being would, and finally, there would be some of the most beautiful Mayan ruins in the world right next to it. These things Tulum can offer.

Tulum is the ancient Mayan city perched on a cliff overlooking the Caribbean Sea. Undoubtedly has one of the most breathtaking settings of any city past or present and fascinating history. Tulum is a day trip that no Cancun tourist should ever miss. Tulum is located about 50 minutes south of Playa del Carmen. The ruins are north of the town. It flourished during the 14th century and was still inhabited when the Spanish arrived in the early 16th century. Tulum was a significant trading post for the Post classic Mayans. There is a beach where merchants could come ashore with their canoes.

Tulum is one of the most visited of all Mayan ruins, and it's also the only major Mayan ruin to be found along Mexico's Caribbean coastline on the "Riviera Maya". There are about 60 well preserved buildings on the site of Tulum. One of the favorite buildings in Tulum is the Temple of the Frescoes. As the name joins, there are frescoes with typical Mayan theme in the interior. The most outstanding building of Tulum is the Castle, El Castillo, perched on Tulum's highest cliff. This temple-topped pyramid also served as a watchtower and a lighthouse. There is a nice small beach right in the famous Tulum ruins.

The beauty of Tulum beaches is incredible. Turquoise water and extremely white sand, low structures and low density, all adds up to give you an incredible beach experience. Tulum hotel zone leans towards the beach cabana style, offering everything from simple accommodation options to newer, more expensive chic style palapas. It's assured that after a beach vacation in Tulum you will feel relaxed and revitalized.
