Weddings are always romantic, but planning them can be an epic task for a couple. The first thing which needs to be determined is the venue, obviously a church is always romantic for a wedding, but bringing Valentine's day into the wedding reception is more difficult. To help emphasize the theme of Valentine's Day a couple can put out love themed decorations, and choose a color scheme with lots of pinks and whites and reds. If the table decorations are also heart shaped it will show the theme of the wedding more than anything else, and people will be able to see it more obviously.
When a wedding is on Valentine's Day there's a lot of expectation from guests to put on the most love filled day imaginable. A couple will feel this pressure in their planning, and as a result may change what they want to fit what would be expected. Instead of a smart looking new car to drive the bride or groom to the church for example, the couple might go for something more expensive and have an incredibly posh car drive each of them to the wedding.
The actual building a wedding reception is held in can also add to the theme of a wedding on Valentine's Day. A country house or grounds are always lovely for a wedding reception to be held in, and everyone attaining can get right into the theme as they're outside enjoying them and watching a just married couple. Adding in a flock of doves being released at some point will also make the day more perfect, and impress everyone attending the wedding reception.
The food at a wedding can also add to the theme of Valentine's Day. Oysters are renamed for being romantic food, and there are many others such as strawberries dipped in chocolate, which will fit right in with the loving theme. Music can help to set a mood for an evening, and getting a band to play slow romantic songs will make the Valentine's Day theme more present.
After planning a wedding around Valentine's Day and making all of the arrangements for a more romantic day, a couple can relax and go on a honeymoon which has kept the theme going. There are hundreds of romantic honeymoon destinations for a couple to choose from, including Paris and Hawaii, and while on honeymoon they can choose to do any number of different activities together which help them enjoy their time together as a couple.
