We are going to be talking about the most popular, and of course my favorite, wedding color combinations! There are so many different ones to choose from but of course I had to narrow it down and create a list for you of my favorite ROYGBIV color combos!
For Red my favorite would have to be red, purple, and silver but also if it’s a summer wedding red and yellow would be beautiful I think. Just think of sunflowers and tulips, how lovely!
For those of you who love orange don’t forget about the fall favorites of orange and green. Just think pumpkins! But also don’t forget about orange and gold, a fall classic!
If you’re looking for something a little bright, like yellow, I love yellow and pink as a color combo. Maybe because lemonade is one of my favorite drinks and you can make yummy cocktails out of both to match your color combo? Possibly, but if something more diverse like yellow and blue is what you’re going for don’t forget about all the great reception ideas you can get out of this color combo such as a lemon cake with blue frosting.
Green is just a great color all year round but goes particularly well in the winter with red, think Christmas time. But if you’re getting married in Spring don’t forget about Green and all the beautiful pastel colors that can go with it. How great would dyed pastel Easter eggs look on every table?
One color combination that for blue that is so unique is a dark navy blue and silver, this would be great for a New Year’s wedding perhaps.
Purple, being my favorite color, I wish I could tell you every single idea I have for this color but I want to save some for myself after all. However one idea I once saw purple beta fish swimming under a floral bouquet of the accent colors used in the wedding. It was unique and kids loved it!
Pink is a color that can go with so many different things and can be elegant, fun and spicy. For an idea though try a strawberry flavored cake, it will just be one more thing that is pink that coordinates with the wedding and it will taste delicious!
On a more elegant and classy note is the black and white wedding. It defiantly tells people that the occasion is meant to be taken seriously. However if you want to lighten things up a bit throw in some color.
And for those of you wondering what other colors there possibly are, well there’s still brown don’t forget. Brown ways to incorporate the color into your wedding is with brown and cream, or ivory. It will go wonderfully with the dress and it would also look beautiful on the beach somewhere.
