People need room to move around, eat comfortably at a table, and show off their moves on the dance floor. Don’t even consider wedding venues that will limit the guests’ ability to have fun.

Another aspect to consider are the accommodations you’ll be providing. If you plan to invite a lot of people from out of town, you want to be sure the wedding venues you are looking at have overnight accommodations. If the rooms are not on the premises, they should at least be within walking distance. No one will enjoy ending a beautiful day of celebrating with a DWI.

Finally, when considering wedding venues, you want to try the food. People attend the big day to share in the celebration with family and friends. If you’re going to feed your guests, you want the food to be tasty. Serving a large banquet with stand up hors d’oeuvres and a sit down dinner is not easy. You want a caterer who not only makes great food, but also knows how to get it to the table hot for all 200 people at the same time. Be sure to schedule a tasting before deciding on the caterer and ask around about their service.

Choosing wedding venues can be tricky. If you consider location, size, proximity to overnight accommodations and food quality, though, you will likely choose a winner. Once you have the right venue, the rest of the planning will be a breeze.
