A lot of attention is given to the desire of brides to lose weight before the big day, but what about bridesmaids-they can buy plus size bridesmaid dresses, or they can lose 14 lbs in the next two weeks. They do not have to feel overwhelmed at the prospect of being in the wedding party because they are overweight. Just about everyone has at least one close friend who struggles with her weight, yet the bride-to-be does not want to exclude her on her wedding day.
I know of a bride who a year before the wedding asked a dear dear friend who was significantly overweight to be in her wedding. This was a medium sized wedding party with six bridesmaids, so selecting the gown for the bridesmaids was no easy task to begin with. Finally, the bride and her mother found what they considered to be the perfect choice-both in style and color. They admitted that they were most concerned with what the overweight friend would feel the most comfortable in; however, they were still pleased with the choice they made.
Sadly, this story does not have a happy ending. The friend finally, several months after the selection was made, went to the bridal shop and immediately decided she could not be in the wedding. Tearfully, she told the bride that she could not stand the thought of being in the wedding photographs. She was distraught as was the bride and her mother. The friend was so embarrassed that she left the wedding reception immediately following dinner. She and the bride now live several hundred miles apart and the friendship has completely evaporated. One can only wonder if the friend is still embarrassed that she did not feel she could be a bridesmaid.
Imagine this: what if this overweight bridesmaid had chosen to use a program like strip that fat? She had talked for years, all the way through college and a one year internship, about her wish to lose weight. She needed to lose about 75 to 100 lbs Strip that fat calculates that 2lbs per week is a reasonable expectation. In 10 months she could have lost over 80 lbs; in a year she could have lost 100 lbs Now no sane person thinks that losing weight happens without a strong desire and a commitment to the goal. It is also necessary to have a plan to reach that goal. Strip that fat offers such a plan.
Turning to extreme fad diets or diet pills for quick weight loss in preparation for your wedding can not only be dangerous and unhealthy, but can also set you up for a future of yo-yo dieting gain-lose, gain-lose rather than lifetime of fitness and health.
Planning a wedding can be a big and stressful job for future brides (and grooms), if they're not eating right and getting proper nutrition, they may feel weak or experience other health consequences.
It's not a advisable to stress the body or the mind at an already stressful time. Most brides-to-be see their wedding day as the most important day of their lives and want to look their best.
