Most modern invitations do not feature the fact that the bride's parents host the wedding, as it's usually the bride and groom that pay for most of the wedding themselves. If you are planning a church wedding the tone can be slightly more formal, but a simple "[bride] and [groom] invite you to their wedding on the [date]" will usually suffice. Information about the venue and other important information can also be given on informal wedding invitations.

Other information that your guests might need to know can be inserted into the envelope on a separate piece of paper, such as directions or information about booking a hotel near to the wedding location.
