[ad_1]

For many brides their wedding dress is the most expensive, precious and wonderful dress they will ever wear. It also holds a million happy memories of the day that they marry their life long love. Many brides also want to preserve their dress so that retain the option of passing the gown down to their (potential) daughters as and when the time comes for their children to get married. Therefore if you want to keep your wedding dress is pristine condition then you need to think carefully about how it is stored.

The storage of the dress is of huge importance because an improperly stored dress can be retrieved from storage only to find it is ruined by the storage box itself. Do not ruin an expensive dress for the sake of a cheap but appropriate storage box!

It can feel a little mundane to consider the box in which your dress is finally stored but it is important never the less. Many dresses are left in the plastic outer in which the dress was originally stored prior to purchase without a proper clean after the wedding. Unfortunately neglect such as this can often has devastating consequences in terms of the dress itself.

If you do not clean the dress after use then then stains have a chance to oxidize. There are both visible and invisible stains both of which if left unattended will cause discoloration over time and can cause structural damage to the dress. Your wedding dress should be before be cleaned as soon as possible after the wedding to make sure it is maintained in its best condition.

Many people, incorrectly, believe that leaving your dress in the plastic bag that it came in is enough. However there are harmful fumes that are emitted from the plastic over longer periods of time and these chemicals will cause a wedding dress to yellow.

To appropriately protect your dress you need to clean it soon after use and store it in an acid-free box wrapped in acid-free tissue paper.
