With the cold weather outside, what better way to add warmth to your winter wedding than having gorgeous flower arrangements? Here are some fabulous seasonal flowers to choose from on your big day.
Ivy
One of the first things to spring to mind when you think of winter is the lovely green foliage of ivy. This winter foliage can be included in all of your weddings decorations from the church, or other ceremony venue, to the table arrangements, to the chair backs.
Amaryllis
If you would like a red flower for your winter wedding, then the amaryllis could be for you. They have a fantastic trumpet shape, which looks stunning in flower arrangements and there are other varieties, such as white and pink, available, if red is not for you. If you want a dramatic flower for your arrangements then amaryllis is definitely worth considering.
Cosmos
The cosmos has a very pretty, daisy like flower. There is an array of colors to choose from so regardless of your weddings color scheme there will be a flower for you. One of the best is the chocolate variety which smells heavenly and has a burgundy color, making it a perfect choice for a winter wedding ..
Muscari
If you want your bouquet or flower arrangements to have a wild feel, muscari is perfect. This pretty plant has a mass of small flowers. The most common color of the plant is blue, although white and purple varieties do exist so you will suit most winter wedding themes.
Holly
Classic winter foliage, holly has gorgeous, green waxy leaves, with shiny red berries. The colors will give a lovely contrast to white linen and can be used as decoration for the church as well as the venue.
Anemone
Anemones have a range of vibrant colors, which all work well together, so there is no need to choose just one color. The vivid colors will contrast beautifully with white table linen or with a wedding dress, so if you're looking for flowers that will not blend into the background the anemone could be ideal for your wedding.
Snowdrops
The snowdrop is a beautiful and dainty little flower that is popular for winter weddings. With white being the only color and with a meaning of hope, they are a perfect choice for bridal bouquets. If you want your bouquet or floral centrepieces to have a delicate feel the snowdrop will give you this look.
