4 Useful Make-Up Tips For Your Daughter

[ad_1]

Women and vanity always go together and one of the many vanities women bought for is cosmetics especially make-up. It usually starts at the teenage years. Although not all women will grow up wearing make-up, most teenage girls today experiment with something at one point in time or another. This is the time for moms when their daughters come to them and ask for some make-ups tips. Other than that, they need the financial support to help them if they wish to wear some day. Moms should take this time to teach their daughters what to do and to give them useful make-up tips. Now, how do you know what to tell them? Simply tell them what you have learned in the past.

1. Teach your daughter how much make up to wear. Many teenage girls start out with putting on too much make up. It is either they are wearing too many different items or they are just layering it on too thick. Keep in mind that putting on too many different items can make a young girl look too old, while wearing make up too thick can make them look fake. If this happens, it will certainly draw snickers from their friends and schoolmates. No mother would not let that happen to her daughter, right? Teach your daughter the importance of looking natural when wearing a make-up, which can be achieved, by wearing the minimum number of items.

2. Help her identify what she really needs and what she can live without. First off is the foundation. Not all teens have bad skin and many girls do not require a foundation at a younger age. However, there are girls with acne problems and they are the ones that may want to wear some day. Doing so will help them feel better about themselves as it lessens the appearance of pimples. Also included in this tip is to make sure your daughter is getting the right shade to keep the foundation natural.

3. Teach your daughter how and when to use the eye liner. The use of an eye liner depends on the type of your eyes. Those with smaller eyes can really bring out their natural eye beauty with liner but sometimes it gets too messy. Sometimes, a girl only needs a good coat of mascara to enhance the beauty of the eyes with a more natural look. The same can actually be said with lipstick. Most teenage girls do not need it. Instead, a good natural looking gloss is enough.

4. Last but not the least, the most important tip to tell your daughter is remind her how make up is not made to make someone beautiful. It enhances the natural beauty that every single individual is blessed with. No matter what, your daughter must know and feel that she is pretty in your eyes and that she does not need make up to look like someone she is not. Instead, she can learn to enjoy and admire her own looks even if she does not think she has mainstream good looks, and then use a few make up items to enhance her features.

Overall, your make up tips should be about building your daughter's self esteem more than anything else.
