[ad_1]

There are a lot of tips given by skin experts on how to achieve a healthy, good-looking skin. I will share to you the 8 most important tips in achieving a healthy, vibrant skin.

First, drink lots of water. Each of us should drink at least 6-8 glasses of water a day. Water is essential to our body because our organs need water to function well. Water is also considered the most efficient natural treatment for any skin condition. It contains alkaline (pH 7.3) that prevents dehydration and thus prevent production of oil from the sebaceous glands.

Second, eat a balanced meal. Eating the right kind of food can help prevent skin problems and maintain our skin healthy. Acidic foods and dairy products are said to cause allergic reaction to some people. There are also debts over the effect of chocolates to our skin. Some says it can trigger skin problems while others say it does not. Thus, just to be sure, follow proper diet and eat plenty of fruits, vegetables and fiber-rich food.

Third, exfoliate. Skin doctors say that each of us should exfoliate the skin once in awhile. Exfoliating the skin can help us a lot in achieving a good-looking skin. Purchase a good body exfoliant (commonly called "loofah"). A loofah is capable of removing dead skin cells from your body and helps prevent ingrown hair from forming. But remember to avoid using loofah on your face because the facial tissue is more sensitive and finer than the other tissues of the body.

Fourth, maintain a healthy facial care routine. Today, most dermatologists and skin experts suggest that we should cleanse, moisturize and tone our skin twice a day. Before sleeping, make sure to remove your make up, clean your face including the neck area and apply a skin moisturizer or cream. Studies reveal that during nighttime, our skin pass through an elimination process and it can not breathe well if we still have make up on it. In addition to that, sleeping with your make up on can result in skin breakouts and can lead to more serious skin problem later on.

Men should also be careful in shaving and should make sure that when they shave, the razor strokes are following the direction of the growing hair. Some men experience shaving rashes and these rashes lower their self-esteem and so to avoid this they should really be careful in shaving.

Fifth, find time to pamper your feet. The feet is the most neglected part of the body and that most of the time, our feet experience skin problems. Consider visiting beauty clinic for a professional pedicure. If you have no time for pedicure, you can pamper your feet at home. Soak your feet in a basin of water with your favorite therapeutic oil. Wait for about 15 minutes before drying your feet. Next, apply a rough skin remover to remove dead skin cells then rinse off and dry your feet thoroughly.

Sixth, avoid too much exposure to sunlight. Too much exposure to the sun can cause damage to the skin. This is one of the most common precautions by skin doctors when it comes to skin care. Even if you apply sunblock, the UV rays can still penetrate your skin causing sunburn that can lead to serious damage. It is wise to use a wide hat when you go out and make sure to cover yourself before going out under the heat of the sun.

Seventh, exercise regularly. Doing workouts can help keep your skin healthy and make you body fit. Exercise regulates the oxygen in our body and improves the glow of our skin.

Lastly, make sure to get enough rest. Studies indicate that stress can cause the adrenal cortex to convert adrenal androgens to the hormone testosterone in both male and female and later result in overactive sebaceous glands. These adrenal androgens are released causing a double amount of testosterone, causing the face to be oily, while other areas of the body are still dry from dehydration. As you can notice overstressed individuals are the ones who often have pimples and in some cases experience serious skin problems. So, to avoid this, we should make sure to get 6-8 hours of sleep everyday. In that way, our skin will remain healthy and vibrant looking.
