When we get thirsty we drink water otherwise our throat will dry up and we will run out of energy to do anything, the same way our skin also gets thirsty and when it doesn’t receive the right amount of water, your skin will get dry and hence the dry hard skin will be your result. So before you try out any remedies, you must drink at least 8 glasses of water per day to prevent dehydration of the skin.

TIP #2- FIBRE- This is fresh fruits and vegetables that you must consume every single day. The benefits of eating fruits and vegetables are unlimited for both your inner body system and the outside! It will keep your digestive system healthy and excrete all the waste toxins out which in turn will result in healthy glowing skin. 5 a day is only for those who hardly eat fruits and veggies, it can be more. The more fibre, the greater the benefits for your skin.

TIP#3- NATURAL FACE SCRUB- This must only be done no more than 2-3 times a week depending on the skin type. For e.g. if you already have an extremely dry skin, you can stick to exfoliating it maybe once every week, but exfoliation has to be done for both the face and the body.

In a small dish, take 1-2 tablespoons of sugar and add 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil and make it into a paste for natural effective exfoliation for both face and the body. The amount of sugar and the olive oil you use is totally up to you, some people would prefer their scrub to be more liquidity and some might want more solidified paste. Make it according to your preference and gently exfoliate your face by using slow circular motions. You can do the same technique for both the face and the body, but the face should not be exfoliated for no more than 2-3 minutes. Be gentle with your skin while exfoliating and don’t rub it too hard, if you want baby soft skin, treat your skin like a baby!

After exfoliating your face with olive oil and sugar scrub, or even when you are in a rush and just washing your face quickly, splash cold water on your face for about 10-20 seconds. This will open the pores making it less visible and help lock the moisture firmly.

TIP#4- MOISTURISE- For this you can use any good moisturisers that you would normally use and gently moisturise your face and body to lock all the moisture. After all, moisturising has to be done to give the skin its finishing touch for that baby softness.

TIP #5- NO MAKEUP FOR BED- Last but not least, you must make sure that you remove all the make up on your face using olive oil which is also a natural makeup remover and wash your face gently and moisturise again before going to bed. Sleeping with your makeup on will clog the pores and stop your skin from breathing freely which will eventually lead to pimple formation and rough skin.
