Beauty Obsession: Kai Fragrance

With the change of seasons I love switching my fragrance to a light, fresh scent and have recently become obsessed with Kai (kaifragrance.com).

As soon as I spritz it on I envision sunny days, blue waters and languid days lounging on a beach — all with good reason. Kai was created about 15 years ago by Founder/Owner Gaye Straza who had spent summers vacationing in Hawaii with her family and wanted a fragrance that would capture the natural scents of the tropics. She created Kai, which means “sea” in Hawaiian. It features a top note of gardenia blended with other white exotics. Kai is meant to be layered so there’s a multitude of products to choose from including a body wash, body lotion, hand cream and a personal fave, the body glow, a hydrating mist. I also love the Kai travel set. It’s a great item to take on your honeymoon or to give as a gift to your bridesmaids. The set includes a shampoo and conditioner, body wash, bathing bubbles, body lotion and a vial of perfume oil.

There’s also a body polish and body butter, deodorant and body buffer available so take your pick! In fact, there are now over 18 Kai products including items for the home such as a linen spray, linen wash and candles including the Skylight candle that burns for about 40 hours — another great gift idea.

Kai’s newest offering is a chic reed diffuser that will fill a room with Kai’s fresh fragrance for four months.

Bonus: All Kai products are made in the USA, contain its signature perfume oil and come in recyclable packaging. It doesn’t surprise me that Kai has been named one of Oprah’s “favorite things” and is loved by celebs such as Jennifer Aniston, Julia Roberts, Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Garner. Count me in as a new fan and see if you don’t love its light, intoxicating scent as well! For more information and a list of retailers, visit kaifragrance.com.
