[ad_1]

For most stay home moms who have traded in their paycheck to spend time with their babies, pampering typically takes a nose dive. There's little time if any to really concentrate on one's appearance. And for most, finances are also tight. However, there are simple and quick ways to take care of the skin with products found at home or in the shops. I will share with you some of my favorite tips for taking care of that skin without spending much money.

1. Avocados
Just scoop the avocado into a bowl and mash it up. Apply it on your skin like a mask and leave it on for 15-30 minutes. Then rinse with warm water. Your skin should feel supple already. Not only are avocados great for nutrition, they also rejuvenate and moisturize skin.

2. Yogurt (preferably plain)
Simply apply it on your face for 15-30 minutes and wash off. Yogurt reduces improvements overall skin texture and gives you a healthy glow.

3. Olive oil and brown sugar scrub
In a bowl, mix olive oil and brown sugar to form a paste. After showering, use this to scrub your whole body. Then rinse off. Your skin will be smooth and soft.

4. Cucumber or tea bags
To reduce the puffiness and dark rungs under your eyes, apply cold tea bags or slices of cucumber for 15-30 minutes.

5. Honey
This is great to use when your hair looks dull. Simply apply the honey on your hair. Just be warned it can be messy and sticky. Wear a plastic cap for as long as you can stand it. Then shampoo your hair and rinse well.

6. Extra Virgin Coconut Oil
Use this to oil treat your hair once every fortnight. Before going to bed, apply the oil onto your scalp and wear a shower cap. Shampoo the hair the following morning and style as desired. Coconut oil is also good to apply on your skin though it does not smell too good. But you can also apply it overnight and then shower it off the next day. Also use it to cook or add it to your food. Whichever way you do it just get to eat the coconut oil. Not only will your skin and hair glow, your overall health will improve. It has also been shown to cause weight loss and that's a bonus.

7. Tea tree oil
I like to keep this as my all-in-one first aid remedy. It will take care of most skin eruptions as it has antiviral, antibacterial and anti-fungal properties. So when that zit pops up, do not squeeze it, just apply a little tea tree oil. If you apply too much, it may sting, so use with caution. Test on a small hidden area to make sure you will not react before you apply it to your face.

8. Aqueous cream
For a moisturizing bath, use this instead of your regular soap. And it's also good for moisturizing the hands and cheap.
