Post Breast Enhancement Exercises

[ad_1]

Many breast enhancement surgeons recommend that women perform post- enhancement exercises which aid the healing process. The exercises are different forms of massage which keep the implant pocket a little larger than the implant so the implant can move naturally in the chest wall. They also help to soften the breasts and minimize the incidence of capsular contracture. Performing the recommended breast exercises is important in caring for the safety of the implant and maintaining breast health.

The medial implant exercise aims to develop cleavage, and is recommended for women who have had implants placed behind the chest muscle wall. For this exercise, a woman should cross her arms over each other and cup the bottom of each breast with her hand. The breasts should be pushed gently towards the center of the chest and towards each other. This position should be held for two seconds. The exercise should be repeated five times and should ideally be performed twice a day in order to develop cleavage.

The upward breast implant exercise is intended to create space at the upper portion of the implant pocket so that the implant is able to move upwards. A woman should place her hand at the bottom of the implant in a karate chop form, with the little finger at the level of the chest wall. The hand should then gently be rolled down or the implant should be pressed at the bottom, so that it moves upwards and fills the top portion of the breast. This exercise should be performed twice, with the position held for five seconds, and should be repeated five times a day.

It is important for implants to move naturally with changes in the body position, which helps to decrease capsule contraction. While leaning back on an exercise ball or on the floor, a woman should move the implant within the implant pocket using her fingers. Performing the exercise for thirty minutes a day will help to stretch the scar tissue and keep it soft. Surgeons also recommend that women perform compression exercises. Using the displacement method, a woman should gently push the implant to the outermost corners of each breast, and hold the implant in each position for a few seconds. The implant should then be squeezed gently starting from the bottom, across the center and gently squeezing the implant upwards.

Surgeons may require women to carry out the recommended post breast enhancement surgery exercises for at least three months, although they can extend up to a year. Many board-certified surgeons have tutorials for women who have undergone breast enhancement surgery on how to correctly perform the exercises. Women should follow their surgeon’s advice on when to start exercising and how often they should do them. Diligence in performing these exercises will help insure that the breast implants look beautiful and feel natural for a long time.
