The Sweetest New Bridal Gowns

[ad_1]

All of the top designers have just shown their latest collections of bridal gowns for next spring. Many of the styles were outrageous and dramatic, but there were also some gowns that were unabashedly pretty and feminine. For more on the sweetest new bridal gowns, read on …

It seems as though many of the gown designers this season were so crazy about trying interesting new techniques to rucsh, gather, and ruffle fabric that they forgot about making dresses that a bride would actually feel pretty wearing. Some of the more adventurous styles may make a woman feel chic or bold, or even glamorous, but many of the new gowns bear little resemblance to the timeless bridal gowns that every young girl dreams of one day wearing. In other words, they are so of the moment that they are not timeless.

Happily, there were a few designers who did keep real brides in mind when creating their newest collections, especially Monique Lhuillier. Usually known for her sexy gowns, this time around Monique Lhuillier featured an entire grouping of wedding dresses that are perfect for the bride who wants to wear something truly beautiful and romantic on her special day. Several other designers also made gowns that many brides will fall in love with for their romantic nature and tasteful details.

The sweetest new wedding gowns are created from ethereal fabrics such as tulle and silk organza, in addition to perennial bridal favors like silk satin and taffeta. Many of the gowns featured a full tulle or organza skirt with a modified ballgown silhouette that has a nice presence but is not so grand that it is hard to carry off. The sheer fabrics are used to create dainty details like a cap sleeve or an overlayer on a skirt.

The accent of choice on the prettiest new batch of bridal gowns is an exquisite lace. Used all over, or as an applique, lace adds romance and charm to a wedding gown. This season, it is frequently being seen as an embellishment on the hemlines of the wedding dresses. Another lovely detail is a sheer lace sleeve or a sheer back that gives the gowns a slightly demure sensibility.

Although not as worthy as they were this year, there are also some lovely chiffon goddess inspired gowns available for next year's brides. One of the prettiest of these was an ethereal little number created by Monique Lhuillier that features an empire waist, cap sleeves, and a softly gathered chiffon skirt. It is a wonderful look for the bride who wants something feminine without lace and ribbons.

Delicate sets of bridal jewelry are the perfect accessories for these sweet gowns. Look for bridal jewelry sets made with the ultimate favorite of all brides: pearls. Lustrous pearl jewelry is a wonderful match to the pretty feeling of the new wedding dresses. If you like a bit of sparkle, many lovely bridal jewelry sets also features ties of crystal combined with the pearls.

Brides who love classic beauty will adore the newest collection of sweet bridal gowns. They are a good balance to all of the more outrageous styles that are being shown for 2010 brides. If you want to wear a wedding gown that you will love as much in 20 years as you do today, these pretty new dresses are for you.
