Themed Weddings

[ad_1]

Themed weddings can add that special personal touch to your event. Many engaged couples find that it is a great way to include their hobbies and interests and add a different dimension to their special day.

Seasonal Themes
Weddings planned around one of the four seasons are very popular. A winter wonderland wedding can be spectacular with crystals and lots of white and silver, and it's a great time to wear that lavish, traditional wedding dress. Fall weddings are richly colored in golds, deep reds and bronzes to reflect the opulent feel of the fall season. Summer weddings can be outdoors at the beach, a park or on a gorgeous lawn. Summer weddings can be a bit more fun and casual, and the wedding dress may be more simple and flowy. Then, there are spring weddings, the most popular season for this special occasion. Lots of seasonal flowers and bright or pastel colors can give that spring feeling.

Holiday Themes
Pick a holiday that is important to the two of you, such as Easter, Valentine's Day, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Halloween or one of the other special days of the year. Holiday weddings are a great time to get your families together. Use the theme to guide your decorating decisions.

Sports Themes
Do the two of you have a favorite sports team? Or maybe you root for rival teams and want to have some fun with that. Sports-themed weddings can be a casual theme that is fun for everyone. There have been weddings held in gyms, on baseball fields, in football and basketball arenas and even underwater. Decorate in your team's colors, or if you are on "opposite sides of the aisle," perhaps decorate one half of your venue for one team and one half for the rival team. Use your imagination, and this could be an event to remember.

Fairytale Themes
You have found your Prince Charming, so why not have a fairytale wedding? Hire a big white coach to bring you to your venue, dress the room with candles, taffeta, flowers and make it truly magical. Walk down the aisle in your beautiful princess dress and live out the dream of the little girl inside of you.

Macabre Themes
There are many engaged couples who want to show their darker side when they wed. Have you ever considered a vampire ball wedding? Or maybe you would like to hold your event in a venue that is reportedly haunted. You might even choose the Mexican "Day of the Dead" for your wedding, or Halloween. Lots of candles, velvet, ethereal music and a stunning gothic style wedding gown will help set the mood.

Crazy and Unusual Themes
Weddings have taken place in some crazy and unusual places and under some strange circumstances. There have been marriages performed at Comic-Con, sporting events, in hot air balloons, while skydiving and many, many more unique places. Use the opportunity when you choose an unusual venue to create a theme that is interesting and unforgetable. Your guests will leave amazed and you will have created a special memory.

If you choose to plan a wedding with a particular theme in mind, use your creativity to make the event special and intriguing for your guests. Be brave and switch out your traditional wedding dress for a scuba suit, football jerseys or hiking boots. Whatever decisions you make, keep in mind that this special day is for the both of you and that from here, you begin to build your lives together.
