Your wedding location will determine the answer to many of the questions we'll discuss in the article.
Most wedding venues will have a dressing room for you to put on your wedding gown. If you've checked out the location before your wedding you'll know the size of the room and what other facilities are offered.
Some brides choose to get dressed at home where family and friends are better able to help. That means you will have had to arrange some kind of transportation from your home to the wedding location. Whether it's a family car, a friend's car or even a limo service make sure the inside is completely clean.
Make sure the outside of the car is clean, you do not want to touch your wedding gown any place on the car as you are getting in or out. The interior should have been completely vacuumed – thoroughly – floor, seats, back of seats. If there is any question use a bed sheet to cover the interior of the car.
Consider the weather. Make preparations ahead of time in case there is a change in the weather. Nothing worse than having a downpour with mud and water everywhere.
You may have to change plans. Transport your wedding gown in a plastic bag to the wedding site and change there. If you can, apply your make-up and have your hair done before dressing. Then you can just do a quick touch-up after the wedding gown in on.
Be careful with hairspray. Also if you are applying mascara some small pieces can drop and make a mess of your wedding gown.
Once you are dressed and your wedding is going on you can keep your wedding gown something clean by having the gown bustled up when you're dancing and held up when you are walking around.
The other alternative is do not worry about it. Be as careful as you can without stressing out. If your wedding gown does get dirty – so what – do not worry about it. Have a fun time, enjoy every aspect of your wedding. Then when it's all other you can have your wedding gown professionally cleaned and preserved.
Check out the alternatives for wedding gown preservation. Make sure you use a reliable company with a good guarantee. Prices can vary, even for exactly the same service, so check it out for yourself.
