When it comes to wedding favors edible ones are probably the best choice. Not only are edible wedding favors easily coordinated with any wedding style, but they also go down very well with the guests!

First thoughts for edible favors would be chocolates or candies, however, what most brides do not realize is that there are a whole world of edible wedding favors out there. These can range from cakes and cookies, to bottles of sauce and beverages. Here are just a few to who the appetite:

o Custom cookies are one of the top wedding favors at the moment. They can be made in a range of flavors, shapes, and sizes and iced in accordance with wedding colors and themes. On a per cookie basis they are not cheap, so double them up as place cards by having your guests names iced on to them and save some cash on stationery.
o Luxury chocolates are an indulgent treat and are a good choice for formal traditional weddings, for informal casual weddings, look out for them chocolates or candy coated chocolates.
o Candies have always been a popular choice, ranging from candy coated chocolates to retro sweets from your childhood, they are probably the most inexpensive wedding favor available.
o Sachets of tea and coffee make for a favor with a difference. Many favor stores stock them and you can also have personalized saches. Team them up with heart shaped infusers or espresso cups.
o Jars of honey or preserves are nice for a spring wedding, but would be a welcome favor at any time of year. Make your own or purchase large jars from grocery stores and decant into smaller glass pots, then add a personalized label.
o Bottles of hot sauce are a great idea for male guests and weddings where the wedding breakfast is served off a barbecue!
o Mini cakes are another popular favor at the moment, although they are quite expensive. Many brides will offer them as an alternative to wedding cake and double them up as wedding favors. Like cookies they can made in a range of shapes and sizes and iced according to your wedding colors and theme.
o Bottles of alcoholic drink have been given as wedding favors for some years now and usually take the form of miniatures particularly spirits such as whiskey or brandy. Other types of alcoholic favor include bottles of cider punch, half bottles of wine and miniature bottles of champagne. If your budget is big you could have half bottles or champagne and at the other end of the scale, bottles of beer make an inexpensive choice!

Edible wedding favors are easily made by yourself at home such as cookies, cakes and even decanting foods – which you have purchased wholesale or in the supermarket, into smaller containers can count as homemade. The best thing about edible wedding favors is all the taste tests you will have to do before making your final choice!
