When it comes to colors, white is the most common. It suits almost every type of wedding especially winter. However it may be unsuitable for Fall weddings where the predominant color is purple. Of late many brides are wearing multicolored gowns. The skirt and the blouse would be of different colors. This color combination will be suitable for a wedding with a casual theme.

In all your choices, you should consider comfort. You will be in that dress for almost the entire day. You must wear something that you can move about easily in.
