Gone are the days when the sole option generic white satin pumps, commonly found at any shoe store or wedding salon, controlled the wedding shoes category. They were typically the same multi-purpose pumps and did not have the very special looks or eye-catching features when used as bridal shoes. Today, wedding shoes come in an exotic and exiting range of styles and prices!
You need to give due consideration to certain aspects when choosing the bridal shoes.
o It is the height of the shoe that determines the length of your dress! You need to select and purchase your shoes soon after you decide upon your dress. While stitching or making alterations to your wedding dress, you'll invariably be asked to bring your wedding shoes too for determining the dress length.
o The style of your wedding dress matters in the bridal shoes selection. If you've opted for a formal and designer wedding dress, you'll need a matching pair of elegant shoes. An informal wedding dress would warrant a pair of white satin ballet pumps or even some kind of sandals with straps. Shoes with ankle straps are an option with calf-length or shorter dress.
o Cute wedding shoes may be important, but comfort still holds the key. You need to be on your feet the whole day – be it walking down and standing in front of the altar, posing for photos, cutting the cake, dancing at the reception, greeting the guests – you will not be getting to sit down much for the day. It may make sense to buy elegant shoes for the wedding and another pair of comfortable reception shoes for the party later on.
You have a problem of plenty with the wedding shoes, so choose them with care!
