The Pleasures and Perils of Middle-Aged Brides – The Perfect Wedding Dress For Your Perfect Wedding

[ad_1]

You're getting married, and it has suddenly dawned on you that you're not 22. Yesterday you completely accepted who you are and today, because you're going to be a bride, you're totally freaked. And look at the dresses in the wedding magazines. The bridal magazines too often have nothing to offer women who are not 18 and model-thin.

Let me just say this: (And pay attention because it's important.) I'm almost positive that the "will you marry me and be my love for now and always? " Was not accompanied by the ultimatum "as long as you loose 25 pounds by your wedding day and prove that you can bench press your new Cooper Mini. " So here's my first thought about you fabulous you and your body: Love it! Find a dress that makes YOUR body look good. Do NOT buy a dress that you must change your body to look good in.

(Oh, and if there was a weight ultimatum, unless you've got serious health issues, you've got a recognized with serious control issues.

There are plenty of things to obsess about. And you will find them all! MABs are nothing if not too! But your body? Why not just admit it? You are fabulous. You know how to dress to make yourself look fabulous.

  • And if you do not know lots about how to dress to make yourself look fabulous, find someone who is built a lot like you who looks fabulous and ask for her help. You can trust me on this, she's going to want to help you. I've never met a woman (or man) who while being told that she looks fabulous and you'd love it if she could help you look fabulous on your wedding day say … "oh, no, I'm too busy ! " She'll be flattered that you recognized how much she loves herself and she'll help!
  • Head over to the store where you buy most of your clothes. Or a store that sells clothes that you really like. They're going to want to help you. Their reputation is built on the stories their clients tell about them. They want them to be satisfied stories.
  • And if you're going to a bridal store, go to a smaller one. What you pay to support a small store will be repaid in the support you get. And if the store sells mother of the bride clothes, there may be something fabulous you can find in white or cream that does not need hours at the gym. Any hours you put in will will be bonus, not mandatory!

Once you have a handle on this, you can go back to working on what really matters: your wedding ceremony and your wedding vows. Create that blueprint for you happily and healthily ever after. Ask your wedding guests to support you in your marriage. And then sail into your future, confident that you look fabulous and knowing that you're beloved.
