Wedding Dresses – A Style For Everyone

[ad_1]

A wedding is the most anticipated and dreamed of day in any girl's life. It is the day when she should feel like a princess and be treated like one. This is a special day in your life that you will only live once and have memories of forever. For many girls, choosing a gown from amongst the vast selection of wedding dresses available is the most exciting and sometimes most difficult part of getting ready for their special day.

As you set out in search of the perfect wedding dress, it is a good idea to start by knowing yourself. Know what your body style is, and this will help you to find a dress that you not only love, but one that will be accommodating to your body style as well.

Each of us is shaped differently, and a wedding dress that may look stunning on one person may not flatter another. Here are a few things to think about to help you determine which style wedding dress will make you look beautiful and make your special day a time that you will love to look back on.

It will be easy to determine what body style you have with the use of a mirror and a towel. Drape a large towel around yourself, and underneath your arms. Bring the end of the towel to the front.

If the towel stays straight and your waist is defined, you have an hourglass shape. This is the desired shape that many consider to be ideal.

If the towel is straight and your waist, bust, and bottom are both the same width, you are a rectangle shape.

If your bottom half is bigger and wider than your top half and the edge of the towel flares out below the waist, then you are a triangle shape.

You are a wedge shape if the edge flares out above the waist making your top half wider than your bottom half.

You will also need to keep consideration other factors like how tall or short you are and if you are heavy or thin. Knowing your body style will help you discover a wedding dress that help you feel more confident and happy with the way you look on your wedding day! You will love yourself and love your wedding dress!

If you are an hourglass shape, you are in luck! Many designers target this group of women though they are often the minority. You will have the most options available to you, and fitted waistlines and decorated skirts will flatter you. If you are short, avoid bulky dresses and go for a straight A-line style or mermaid wedding dress. Choosing a sleeveless or cap sleeve dress and wearing gloves can also help create the illusion of being taller than you actually are.

If you are a rectangle shape, dresses with an empire waistline will be a flattering choice for you; it will create more of a waistline than you actually have. Avoid dresses that are extremely snug around the hips as this will accentuate something that you do not need to draw more attention to.

For those who are a triangle shape, you are trying to bring the focus away from the hip area and toward the face. Try a dress that will add width at the top to created a balanced look. Styles with width at the shoulders such as off the shoulder styles, shoulder wrapper collars and bolero jackets will flatter you.

For those who are the wedge shape, you need to try to draw the eye to the bottom half of the body by creating fullness there. Try a ball gown style wedding dress. Any dress that has lots of volume will create that balanced look you need to achieve.
