Every bride wants smooth, flawless skin for the big day. Recently, I was introduced to a fantastic new skincare line, Filorga, which guarantees amazing looking skin in no time at all. I’ve tried some of the products myself, and they really do deliver as promised.

A little background first: Filorga, the second best-selling skincare line in France, was founded in 1978 by Michel Tordjman, a cellular biologist and a doctor of aesthetic medicine. Let’s just say that the good doctor understood the importance of infusing the right mix of scientifically proven ingredients into products that would best benefit the skin. Every Filorga product contains hyaluronic acid to help with cellular hydration and cohesion for smoother skin and NCTF (new cellular treatment factor), which includes 53 active ingredients that stimulate the metabolism of our skin cells. And, unlike most super-pricey luxury skincare brands, Filorga is not only less expensive, but the creams, lotions and serums are so rich that just a little goes a long way.

I love the Scrub and Mask; it’s basically two products in one, as it both exfoliates and oxygenates the skin. You apply the exfoliating cream, which then transforms into a mousse-like mask (leave on for 10 minutes) that starts to bubble as the oxygenation process begins. Once all the bubbles disappear, it’s time to rinse off. It was fun to watch the different stages (cream, mousse, bubbles) appear on my skin, and the tingling sensation of the bubbles proves this product is really doing its job. Afterward my skin was noticeably brighter, smoother and my pores looked practically non-existent. Nice! For optimal results, it’s best use this product two or three times a week.

Filorga boasts a wide range of products that effectively target specific skin concerns. The Time-Zero Multi-Correction Wrinkles Serum focuses on treating all types of facial lines and wrinkles. I’ve applied the serum morning and night under moisturizers and can feel its creamy, gel-like texture just sink into my skin and noticeably lift it. 

If you aren’t concerned about wrinkles or fine lines just yet, try Hydra-Hyal, an intensive hydrating serum that super-moisturizes skin with four types of hyaluronic acids. Bonus: This serum also works as a primer under makeup helping it to last longer — ideal for the wedding day!

If wedding-planning stress is causing sleepless nights or too much late-night partying is taking its toll, you’ll love the Sleep-Recover Anti-Fatigue Night Balm. This re-energizer helps reduce under-eye circles and puffiness and eliminates that tired, fatigued look. Use it sans moisturizer at night on freshly washed skin and just apply an eye cream. In the a.m., you’ll look as if you’ve had a full 8-hours sleep! (Great to have on hand if your rehearsal dinner cuts into much-needed sleep time the night before the big day.)

One of my favorite products is the Skin-Absolute Day cream. This incredible cream contains a daylight-activated enzyme that helps reduce signs of aging (fine lines, spots, uneven skin tone) and enzymes that counteract damaging UV rays: In other words, it has its own built-in SPF. There’s an extract included that works against the damaging effects of pollution and a white sapphire (yes, the gemstone) ingredient that reflects light and blurs skin irregularities. 

At night, after applying your serum, use Skin-Absolute Night, another rich, powerful moisturizer that works to rejuvenate and regenerate the skin as you sleep. It’s infused with a meteorite extract (very sci-fi!) that gives the cream a black lacquered appearance that immediately disappears when applied to the skin. The meteorite ingredient contains silicon to help detoxify and restore the skin’s firmness. The moisturizer also has a brightening ingredient that reduces the size and intensity of dark spots over time and vitamin C to even out skin for a more luminous complexion. It definitely packs a powerful punch!
