“We jumped at the chance to combine fresh veggies with garden florals to create an organic decor that underscored our farm-to-table theme,” explains Maribel Kalata from Eight Tree Street Floral Event Design.
A market basket brimming with provisions welcomed guests.
The design team created themed bouquets for the evening made with fresh veggies and delicate wax flowers. The bride-to-be (pictured at right) holds a dinner bouquet of French tulips, ranunculus and roses accented with asparagus and peppers.
Dinner was served family-style on farm tables. “The cozy backyard provided the perfect setting to kick off the celebration to come, where folks could mingle, play games and feast on locally sourced fare,” Kalata says.
The backyard was filled with decorative wooden crates bursting with pittosporum, huckleberry greens, roses, wax flowers and lisianthus. The lush centerpieces were a merry mix of eucalyptus, ranunculus, garden roses, anemone, tulips and lisianthus.
