Getting in Shape For Your Wedding

[ad_1]

Getting fit for your wedding day is an important part of the build up as everyone wants to look every bit perfect.

You will very much be on show for the whole of the day and you do not want to look back at photographs and regret the way you looked.

So, in order to be in pristine condition for your wedding, read on …

Firstly, write 5 goals on a piece of paper that you hope to have achieved by the time your wedding arrives. Remember to make them aspirational as well as realistic. You should include things like: –

"I would like to reach 120lb"

"I am going to cleanse, tone and moisturize my skin every day for 6 months"

"I am going to stop taking sugar in my tea."

"I am going to introduce more chicken, fish and whole grains into my diet"

"I'm going to have a size 12 wedding dress – that fits!"

"I choose to replace alcohol with fruit juice and water"

Produce a few copies of these goals and dot them around the house. Ensure you put a copy on the fridge or on the biscuit cupboard. Then, when you are feeling like eating a naughty snack, you can see your goals which may stop you from having an unnecessary munch!

There are many different ways in which you can lose weight for your wedding and your choice of diet is dependent on your size, frame, type of job etc. You need to choose something that is right for you – a diet that you can easily manage along with all the wedding planning. The best diets are the easy ones so bear this in mind. Usually, the simple art of eating more fresh fruit and vegetables, reducing fats, dairy produce and red meats and replacing them with whole grains and pulses is a good place to start.

In addition to your new diet, you must ensure that you drink at least 8 glasses of water each day. This will leave you feeling cleansed, keep your skin hydrating and make you feel a million dollars in time for the wedding. Drinking plenty of water also helps flush toxins out of the body.

Next you need to think about exercise. When questioned in February, many people who dominated at a gym in January had only been twice. If you enjoy going to the gym and know you can stick to it then fine. But, if you do not think you can keep up with it, then try something else. Walking to work rather than taking the bus or running up and down the stairs each morning before getting in the shower are better ways to burn excess calories. You are much more likely to stick at it too.

When it comes to your skin, invest in some good quality cleansing products. Make every effort to remove make-up each evening and try to exfoliate once a week. This will allow new skin to grow and dead skin cells to be removed. Healthy eating, drinking plenty of water and getting exercise will all help with the quality of your skin too. Remember that you need to look at changing yourself slowly. Whether you are starting a new exercise period or a diet [or both!] You need to give yourself 6 – 12 months to reach your goal. Crash diets and sudden weight loss often make you feel lethargic and tired as well as leave your skin feeling dry. If you want the weight to stay off for your honeymoon, you need to think long term. Equally, if you want to continue into married life with glowing skin and healthy nails, you need to keep up the water and fresh foods.
