How to Plan a Simple Wedding

[ad_1]

Everyone knows that your wedding is one of the most important days of your life. You only get to do it once (ideally, without multiple marriages and divorces are your 'cup of tea', but let's just stick to the optimal situation here …) and you want to make the most out of your wedding. Let's explore a few tips on how to planning a simple wedding.

Tip 1:

Always give yourself a lot of time. Regardless of whether you want a simple wedding or a lavish wedding, the fact remains the same is that like an exam, you can not cram your way into 'passing this' because more than often or not, rushed weddings are terrible weddings and it will give you and your spouse something bad to remember for the rest of your life. So take your time to plan your wedding. It also helps because you can find the best date for bookings.

Tip 2:

Do what you do best and outsource the rest. The fastest way to go insane is to try and do everything you are not good at by yourself. You can not be a decorator, scheduler, planner and the person that prepares your guest list all at once. Learn to delegate and outsource to the experts. That is what wedding planners are for. You still have to work or tend to your source of income so consider the fact that the time you save by outsourcing to others will give you less stress and heartache. Call in reinforcements from friends and relatives if possible.

Tip 3:

Budgeting is very important. Do not go overboard or else you will 'pay for it'. If you have a fixed or set budget, do not try and change everything midway because you want to have a simple wedding, not a parcel.

Tip 4:

Get yourself organized. When you do not have a proper list of things to do, you can get really messy and overwork yourself. If you are not good at making lists, ask other married couples for advice and things you can fill into your list.

Tip 5:

When all else fails, consider a destination wedding. All you need to do is pack up, fly to your destination and get married – far away from all your wedding troubles and pesky guests. Who says you must have your wedding near your house? And you can even bring along a friend or two (best man or brides maid) to accompany you. The sky is the limit. Just remember to simplify, and choose the most practical ways when it comes to planning a simple wedding.
