How to Plan a Wedding

[ad_1]

You've found the beau of your dreams and now the final moment has arrived, he proposed and you're engaged! It's time for the wedding plans, a package that brings along all the sweat and the stress, the fun delight and the tears from laughing. At a first glance it's a road of excitement, but just like any great story, it has its ups and downs. This brief how to guide will run you through the principles of planning a wedding and how to make sure your wedding turns into a great event management success.

1. Take some time to brainstorm

It would be a good idea to brainstorm a bit and jot down ideas like where the ideal place for the wedding would be, any entertainers you might wish you hire, whether you want a designer dress, food, etc. Knowing your budget is also a great idea so you do not accidently jot down ideas that will go over your budget and find yourself with dashed expectations later on.

2. Compile a checklist

Another one of the first things to do when it comes to any kind of event management is to compile a checklist. Once you have brainstormed your ideas, do a bit of research and make a list of things you need, things to do, it does not matter how long it is because you can organize it later.

3. Organize your time and dates

This is one of the most hectic periods of wedding planning and stress levels are sure to hit the roof if not organized well. So I suggest setting aside time to treat yourself, sometimes a spa treatment or a day out with your girlfriends doing what you all love most. Otherwise, this is the stage where you have the perfect wedding all planned out and nothing can probably go wrong but reality may tell a different story. It's time to start checking off your list, organizing sessions to try on dresses, compiling invitations etc. and taking a break if you can.

4. Preparing and going over the fine details

At this point, you've overcome all the obstacles that were thrown in your way, except for your lightly frazzled nerves, the excitement is palpable and the wedding is in about two weeks. This is the time to lie back a little and relax; confirm guest lists, beautician appointments and anything else that needs going over. After that, you simply wait to walk down the aisle. Although, it is definitely okay to second guess yourself, take time off alone or whatever you need to do.
