Little Things to Do to Save Up on Your Wedding

[ad_1]

So you’ve decided to get married. You want a wedding that is fancy enough to be remembered but isn’t as costly. After all, getting married isn’t the only thing you are going to spend money off so you have to think of ways to lessen the costs of a wedding. What you can do is find little ways of saving. These tips may not seem to be big enough to save you a lot of money but it adds up. Here is a good idea on how to help save money for a wedding on a small budget.

1. Design your own wedding cards and find a cheap printing shop

Hiring a professional to design your invitations is frivolous in this day and age especially for a wedding on a small budget. Adobe photoshop is available to everyone who has a computer. It’s cheaper to design your own cards, plus you can be sure that what you design is exactly what you want. If you don’t know how to use adobe photoshop, there are tutorials on the internet that offer comprehensive instructions to making the exact look that you want. If you are a complete photoshop dunce then you might want a friend to do it for you for free.

2. Invite only those people who are important to you

And who actually cares about your wedding. Do you really need to invite all of your co-workers, even the ones you’ve just met? You aren’t inconveniencing them if you don’t invite them to come. You have a choice with whom you want to be in your wedding and who you don’t.

3. Stick to your budget

This has got to be the hardest money saving tip for a wedding on a small budget. If you have the urge to overspend on one particular aspect of your wedding then stop yourself from doing it. Try not to spend for something too expensive, instead find alternatives and wait for sales. Don’t be in a hurry to buy all the things you need. You might be surprised at what you might find later on.

4. Location, location, location

Do you really need to get married somewhere far? Unless you have to get married in your hometown you don’t have to pick any where fancy or somewhere out of the way. The closer you are to where you are going to get married, the better for your wedding on a small budget.

5. A wedding planner is nice…

…but if you could do it yourself then you would be saving tons. Be warned though that while you will be saving money, you will be spending a lot of time and if you are not really the organizer or the planner type then you will be stressed as well. You want to feel happy at your wedding day, not stressing about everything. If you can get a family member to help you organize it with you then that would be great. You shouldn’t feel stressed on your big day.
