Party Planning Checklist, So Much to Do – How Do I Keep Track?

[ad_1]

Planning a great party can be fun but it does involve work and effort on the part of the host. The first thing you should do for yourself to ensure a smooth process is to write out a party planning checklist of all the things that you need to do and when you need to accomplish them by.

One of the first things on your party planning checklist should be to set a budget for your party. By determining the budget first, you can establish exactly how many people you can invite.

This important information leads you to the next item on your checklist: inviting the guests. Some things under this category of your checklist include the making a list guests, buying invitations, writing out invitations and sending them out.

There are several ways to invite your guests. You can send out hand-written or typed invitations, you could use word of mouth or access various online options. Either way you may want to make sure you have not missed anyone by adding a column to your guest list indicated when each guests was invited.

For written invitations, set yourself a deadline of when to send the invitations out. You will want to send out your invitations a minimum of three weeks before the date of the party. You should give your guests two weeks to respond whether they will be attending or not. You can create a second rsvp checklist with a names of the invitees in order to keep track of who will be attending.

Next on your party planning checklist should be regarding the site where the party will be held. If you are not sure yet where you want to hold your party and if you included it in your budget to hire an outside vendor, you have some research to do. Add to your checklist to call vendors and get price quotes.

You will want to find out if the sellers will be supplying and food and how much they will charge you. You can then determine whether you prefer to have the party at your home with a hired caterer. So then you will add to your checklist to get quotes from caterers. However if you want to make all the food yourself, then your checklist will include an item to research how much supplies and food will cost you to do it yourself. Once you have made these determinations, you can add to the party planning checklist to book the vendor or caterer and make a note further down the list place to confirm with them nearer to the party date.

Additional items on your party planning checklist may include buying party supplies like decorations, plates, napkins, utensils, cups, drinks and possibly food. If you have decided that you want to hand out favors towards the end of your party, then you'll need to add the research, procurement and preparation of favorites to your checklist as well. Depending upon your party location, you may also need to add researching and renting apartments like tables, chairs or a tent to your checklist.

Exactly what is on the party planning checklist will certainly vary from host to host. But it is undeniable that creating a party planning checklist is a great tool to stay organized and make sure that you get everything done in a timely manner with the ability to give the best possible party.
