Planning a Wedding on a Budget

[ad_1]

In this economy many brides are left feeling like the wedding of their dreams is out of reach. But, with the proper planning and a little creativity – you can still have the wedding you've always dreamed.

To begin, you need to plan, plan in advance and know that there will be some compromises and sacrifices along the way – this does not mean your wedding will not still be perfect, it just means you need to be open minded and think outside the box to achieve the fairytale wedding you seek.

The first step in beginning to plan is to decide on the guest list. Your guest list should consist of the people that have shared in your love and life and people you absolutely would need to have to witness the beginning of your new life together. Not going overboard with the amount of people on your list will help significantly cut costs.

The next step to planning a wedding on a budget is to prioritize. Start with the list of what you need , what you must have and what would be nice to have and eliminate what you can from the bottom. Again shortening your list here will help cut costs as well.

Now for the dinner style. The most economic dinner style is buffet. This does not mean the dinner still can not be beautiful – focus on making the buffet table itself look beautiful. Using candles and flowers to decorate your buffet table will help make the buffet style dinner look more elegant.

Time of day matters. Sundays are typically much cheaper than Saturdays and the earlier the event the better. Consider having a luncheon or brunch instead of dinner. This actually would work perfect, especially if your wedding is on Sunday, this way your guests do not have to worry about leaving your event early.

Finally, use your friends for the services. For the most perfect, unique wedding favors look for do it yourself wedding projects and gather your friends for a night of food, drinks, laughs and of course do it yourself wedding favors. Turn to your friends for other services, sometimes you have a friend who takes photos as a hobby, ask them to be your photographer, maybe you know someone who plays an instrument – enlist them for your ceremonial entrance. You may have an aunt that is great with crafts, after buying your flowers in bulk at wholesale cost, ask your aunt to create a fabulous arrangement for the tables and for your bouquet.

No matter what your budget, a little creativity and with the help of loved ones – you can still have the wedding of your dreams. Remember that you will have to compromise, but starting off with an open mind is sure to help you get the creative juices flowing and allow for an unforgettable event that is sure to be exclusively you.
