Planning Your Dream Honeymoon

[ad_1]

One thing we all can agree on is that the honeymoon is by far the best part of the wedding! This is the first trip that you and your girl get to take as husband and wife, and by definition you should get to pull out all the stops. I mean, this is supposed to be one of those once in a lifetime dream vacations that you read about!

So what makes for a dream honeymoon? Well, that depends on what your vibe is. For some it might be kicking back on a hot sandy beach enjoying a few cold ones, for others a ski trip might be more appealing with fast runs and steamy hot tubs, just as long as it suits you and your new wife.

Once you've picked the perfect destination, then you need to book the trip. It is best to plan and book your honeymoon at least 4-6 months in advance! The best and most popular spots tend to book up fast.

Keep in mind:

1. All non-US trips now require a passport. Turn around time can be at least 4-6 weeks, so do not sleep on it and wait to the last minute, give yourself enough time for any delays in the process.

2. Pay attention to the weather. Make sure you will not be visiting during the wrong season, rainy or hurricane seasons can turn your honeymoon into a movie watching marathon.

3. Direct flights might cost a little more, but they're worth it. Especially on your Honeymoon!

Once you have done the work to plan the perfect trip, you still want to go that extra mile to make things really special. Do something different that is a bit out of the norm for the two of you. It will make the trip a unique experience and at the very least make for some amazing memories.

Tips – Spice things up!

1. Show your girl how you roll by hiring a personal driver to pick you and your new wife up at the airport. When you get off the plane a luxury car will be waiting to whisk you off.

2. Call your hotel in advance and tell them that you are honeymooners. Chances are they have a few sweet tricks up their sleeves that you can take credit for!

3. Plan at least one romantic dinner for your new wife. A private candle-lit dinner on the beach is never a bad idea; add some nice music and you're golden!

4. Couple's spa day. Sounds lame I know, but you will be thank me later.

The main idea is to do everything that you can to make this trip special. Even if you have to pinch a few pennies before hand, it really is worth it! Your honeymoon is one of a kind and you want to live it up!
