[ad_1]

“Response cards” or normally called RSVP’s usually are included with all invitations so that the hosts and wedding planners know exactly how many guests will show up, the quantity of beverages and food that are needed, linens, chairs, wedding reception favors, place card holders and other elements of the planning that is needed.

When your guests do not follow the response card etiquette it can cause quite a stressful situation for the hosts and family of the event.

So below I have outlined some quick tips to help you avoid this situation.

  • Make sure that you mail your RSVP’s at minimum 2 months before the event if you put this off until the last minute it can and will result in your RSVP getting lost or misplaced.
  • Make sure to include a self addressed stamped envelope with the RSVP
  • Include exact directions to the event, how many guests they are allowed to bring if any, date and exact time of the event, if guests can bring children to the event, if gifts are necessary, and a very clear respond by date should also be included.
  • Have the wedding planner and hosts call all prospective guests and ask if they will be attending your event. This will outline all information that is necessary for the success of the RSVP process.

Make sure before you send out your RSVP’s and invites make sure you and your soon to be come to a clear conclusion on who you would like to attend your event.
