This is a pretty straightforward job to do. Ushers simply stand at the entrance to the wedding ceremony, show wedding guests to their seats and hand out ceremony programs if you have them. As ushers they play a valuable role as it helps to avoid any seating issues making for a smooth running ceremony.

At the reception the guys may dance with the bridesmaids and offer toasts to the newlyweds once the floor is opened up to speakers. Part of their role is also to decorate the bride and groom's getaway vehicle as the reception is winding down.

By and large the role of the men is to offer support for the groom during wedding planning. In the build up to the big day itself the groom will probably require some help and his groomsmen should be there to provide it.
