With only a few months left before your wedding, there are surprisingly few things to do at this stage. Also for the reception, you should select a menu. This can be as simple as finger foods or as complex as a small meal. It's best to keep this part simple. A photographer and / or videographer and book should be chosen now. Ask your friends who they have used and ask to see a sample of their work.

Next is your wedding cake. Get an idea of ​​what you want it to look like and find someone to make it. Some specialty bakeries will have sample cakes for you to try prior to your purchase. Will you be serving some of your wedding cake to your guests? If so, you may want to buy some additional cake cakes to serve, or purchase a larger wedding cake if you want that served instead.

If you have not done it already, decide on your transportation for your departure from the reception.
