Wedding Planning Action List

[ad_1]

Your wedding day is an important event in your husband-to-be and your life. It is more usual these days that the bride and groom fund the wedding, although sometimes parents will contribute too, so managing a wedding on a budget is more important and should be part of your early wedding planning so you know what you have to spend.

There is no reason why you can not have a wonderful wedding on a budget, it just needs some imagination and planning well in advance.

Your Guests – Invite people that are closest to you both and those people who would be happy to attend the ceremony. Parents, immediate family and best friends are good. A wedding is a personal affair and it should be shared with those who are close to the bride and the groom.

Invitations – In your wedding planning consider the various options available. It could be you or a close friend design your own invitations and print them out or email them. Alternately explore local printers and stationary stores and compare prices for the designs you like and fit with your big day.

Your Attire – Consider buying second hand wedding attire for yourself and your partner. Alternately, look online for special offers, you can find some wonderful outfits at better prices than in the shops.

Flowers – As part of your wedding planning find out what seasonal flowers are available around your wedding date, as these will be much more inexpensive.

Wedding Venue – Discuss with your friends and family and see if they have somewhere you could hold your wedding. It may be your uncle or aunt has a large family house in the countryside with large grounds or a friend has access to a restaurant and so on. You could have a beautiful wedding at a more personal location and achieve more flexibility on timings and cost.

Where practical, have both the ceremony and the reception in one place to minimize your cost. It all depends on what you are planning to do. When decorating the venue, keep the use of flowers to a minimum and compliment them with candles, balloons, and ribbons.

Wedding Food – If you choose a catering company to manage the food at your wedding, it can work out very expensive as they tend to charge per head. At the start of your wedding planning contact your family and close friends and see if any of them are willing to help with the cooking for your wedding. If a number of people agree to provide different food items and maybe one of them is great cake maker and decorator, you have another option and they will take responsibility for catering.

Drinks – In your wedding planning also consider the drinks for the day, considering having champagne or similar for the toast and other drinks for the rest of the time to keep costs at a sensible level.
