Wedding Planning Checklist

[ad_1]

Planning a wedding is, to say the least, an overwhelming endeavor. In order to successfully plan the wedding of your dreams, it's important to be very organized when it comes to wedding planning. Getting started early and sticking to a checklist are important ways to avoid frustration or forgetting critical components. It's also a good idea for the bride and groom to enlist the help of friends and family to ease the burden of the planning stages.

You should be prepared to start planning as far out as 16 months from the wedding day. Starting a wedding folder or binder is a good way to keep ideas organized in the early stages of wedding planning. You should also plan out your budget early on and select your wedding party. In this stage of 16 to 9 months before the wedding, you should also start the guest list, hire a planner, reserve your venue, book your officiant, hire your photographer, and throw an engagement party. Now you can move onto the next phase of planning.

At around 8 months before the wedding, you should hire the photographer, book the entertainment, meet the caterers, purchase a dress, reserve hotel rooms, register for gifts, and even launch a wedding website. At 7 to 6 months pre-wedding day, you should select the invitations, start planning the honeymoon, shop for bridesmaids' dresses, book a florist, and even compose a wedding day timeline.

In the final months leading up to the big day, you should book the rehearsal dinner venue, select and order the cake, set up the bridal shower, schedule hair and makeup, choose your music, purchase the rings, and review all of the day of events. Coordinate meetings with all participants in the wedding, such as the photographer and officiant to ensure they understand what you both want for your big day.
