Where to Begin in Your Wedding Plans

[ad_1]

Wedding planning takes lots of hard work and organization. Although it is probably one of the most exciting times in your life, it may also be one of the most stressful times as well. So much to do-so little time it looks. There are many decisions to make in a short amount of time that will affect your dream wedding day.

Here is a guideline tips on how to plan a wedding … beach wedding or not. You can start to check these items off the list as soon as you get engaged.

1. Determine your budget.

Be realistic with your budget. If your wedding budget is lean, talk with your fiance about the most important places where you want to splurge. Cut back in other areas.

2. Try not to compare your wedding with others you've gone to.

Your vision and dreams (and budget!) Is different than what your friends may have had. It is really easy to overspend when we start comparing to other weddings. Plan on gathering some unique wedding ideas to personalize your wedding early on, to reflect your own personal style. And go easy on yourself with the comparison trap.

3. Search early for your ceremony and reception locations.

Many events book up fast so this is one of the first items on your checklist. Just be sure you've worked on your wedding budget first to know the amount you're working with before you start looking. There's nothing more disappointing than finding 'the perfect' reception location, only to find it is WAY out of your budget.

4. Are you looking for a beach wedding?

They are romantic and beautiful, but there are also some important facts to know before proceeding with your beach wedding plans. Do you need a city permit? Is it accessible for all your guests? a Plan B in case of rain? Research sites that will give you clear direction and things to consider if you're planning on having a wedding on the beach.

5. Start looking for sales on your desired wedding purchases.

If you start searching for your wedding dress, invitations, favors and accessories early on, you'll know what prices are good and which are way out of the norm. Look for sales online and in stores. If you see something you know you'll love to have and it's on sale-don't wait-buy it now and it will save last minute stress later on too.

6. Interview various wedding vendors.

Ask around to get opinions from other friends and wedding people in the industry, recommendations are always best. This is one of your most important decisions, you want to be sure you've hired true professionals who are easy to work with in creating your dream day. Take the time to visit them on location if possible, sample the food, hear them play, ask lots of questions until you're sure you've found the right ones, and not just the cheapest ones.

This is a good starting point in planning your wedding. It may feel like there is so much to do, and sometimes it's hard to know where to begin. But if you follow a wedding checklist and do these steps first, you'll be well on your way to a wonderful and unique wedding day!
