Las Vegas wedding ideas are truly a dime a dozen. Plenty of people get married in the gambling paradise every day, and new ideas are always coming out of the experiences people have there. So what are the craziest ideas for getting married in Nevada? I like the following ideas – but remember: these are just general suggestions. You should research each of these before getting started to find out more.
Get Married by Elivis
Everyone knows Elivis Presley as "The King," but did you know Elvis is actually a very popular officiant for contemporary weddings in Las Vegas, Nevada? Yes, this age old tradition is simple. Some local Elvis impersonator or impressionist fulfills the entire ceremony from beginning to end. He will even say, "You may now kiss the bride" in that well known swaggering speech.
Get Married Nude
I know it's surprising and rather strange, but a lot of people are getting married in the buff these days. It is crazy to think that people would want to have a wedding ceremony in their birthday suit. It does happen, and Las Vegas is a popular place for a naked wedding. Just be sure you take a shower before you think about stripping at your marriage.
Get Married in Costumes
On the other side of the coin, some people are dressing up as Frank Sinatra or Cleopatra or whatever for their special day. Costume weddings are very popular now – maybe it has something to do with reality TV. Does it really matter? This article is about crazy wedding ideas, so we should not be surprised.
Get Married on the Hotel Roof
To be fair, I am not exactly sure where this is happening, but it seems to be widely available. The best way to find out if you can get married on the roof of your Vegas hotel or chapel is to contact the staff and ask about "special options" for your wedding package.
Get Married in the Sky
This is one of my personal favorites. When I get married, I may very well do this. Here's how it works: the bride and groom go up in a plane with parachutes and then sky dive their way back down to earth. The official ceremony can either take place inside the plane before the jump, in the air, or after the couple has landed. Take your pick!
These are just some of the wild wedding ideas I have heard about in and around fabulous Las Vegas.
