2) Another great way to mix things up but maintain traditional wedding parties is by cross-gendering the titles in your wedding. Having a man of honor, a best woman, a flower boy, a bridesman, or groom's women is both doable and agreeable. Very little has to change about the actual planning for a wedding. The bride and groom will still be free to choose out the attire for their party, they will still have bachelor and bachelorette parties planned for them, and they will still be surrounded with their closest family and friends at the ceremony and the reception. A man of honor or bridesman can still match the bride by wearing a tie or boutonnière that matches her dress. Additionally, a best woman or groom's woman can wear a dress and hold flowers that match the tie of the groom.

3) Many couples can benefit very much from having a traditional wedding registry. It's a perfect way to furnish your new home with all the little things that you may require, such as kitchenware, accessories for your living room and bathroom, etc. However, some couples are either not interested in such things, or already have what they need for a home. Your registry can be for your honeymoon, instead. This way, your guests can contribute the amount of money they would otherwise spend on a gift on the fee for your honeymoon. Couples can also request their registry to go towards a specific charity or cause. Similar to a honeymoon registry, guests can use the money they would otherwise use on a gift and put it towards your favorite cause.

4) In a time when family dynamics are no longer as cut and dry as they once were, the question of, "who gives the bride away?" is frequently played with. Some brides do not have close relationships with their fathers, other brides were raised by other figures in their lives, and still others might simply not want to be given away. It is your choice as a bride, and anything you choose can be possible. Brides often ask their grandfathers, their surrogate fathers, or even the father of the groom to walk them down the aisle. Also, walking down the aisle alone is always an option.
