Fun Ideas For Wedding Reception Games

[ad_1]

Many couples nowdays are getting creative when it comes to their wedding reception games. Traditionally, people simply greeted the bride and groom, but time are changing. Below, you will find some great ideas that you can implement in your wedding reception.

To add some spice and fun to the reception why not include your guests in some games, this helps them to get to know other people that they may not know that well.

Wedding reception games need to be fun and one that is great is musical chairs but using men as the chairs. All the men line up and kneel on one knee. The women start playing the game and when the music stops they must find a knee to sit on. Instead of removing chairs as in the original version, no one is removed until either the man falls down when the woman sits on his knee or when the woman falls down. Either way both are out, this is a really fun game that often brings the hoards of laughter and creates a relaxed atmosphere.

Other good reception games are ones that ask questions. This is a great game to play if many of the guests have traveled a fair distance and do not really know each other. For this game you will need a Master of Ceremonies (MC), which could be an outgoing member of the wedding party or the DJ. The guests are broken into two groups and sit together.

The MC will then ask a series of questions relating to the bride and groom. The teams will work together to get the answers. The bride and groom will confirm if the answer is correct or not. This is a wonderful way for your guests to get to know each other as well as the bride and groom.

Another great game is for the MC is to ask questions but this time they are requesting certain items, either something that a guest has or it could also be something they are wearing. The MC would ask for a blue purse, all the people with blue purses would run to the front and the first one there wins a point. The person with the most points ends up winning this wedding reception games. Here it would be great to have an item to give as a prize.

By organizing wedding reception games you are getting people involved in your special day and they then feel really a part of the wedding celebration. Plus it is also a way to fill some time, these wedding reception games are great if your guests are not really a dancing crowd. Whether for a small or large wedding, wedding reception games work for just about any group.

Do not assume that your guests will be offended or annoyed by these wedding reception games. Most wedding planners will tell you that the guests often report to them how much they have actually enjoyed being a part of wedding reception games.
