Getting married is definitely a joyous occasion. But in more than just one or two cases, the betrothed couple go through a lot of stress as well. The preparation stage can be really challenging, especially if you're planning a huge celebration. However, even just a simple wedding can also have its share of daunting tasks. That's why it pays to make your preparations as early as possible. Remember that you are celebrating a very special occasion. It will be one of the most memorable ones in your entire lifetime. So it's essential that you plan it out properly.
The very first thing you need to do the moment the wedding date is set is to organize your planner. Get a separate notebook, preferably a diary-type one with dates. List down the stuff that you must agree on a daily or weekly basis from now until your wedding date. If you want to do it on your laptop, it's also fine. However, it's still advisable to carry a little notebook around so you can scribble important details anytime. In your planner, segregate the urgent tasks from the minor ones. Also, place names of people who you need to get in touch with for each particular task.
Next, do your canvassing as early as you can as well. This would include the major items like the venue, the catering for the food, the wedding dress, souvenirs, and cake. Also, do not forget to canvass for a wedding photographer. You would not want your special day to end without having beautiful memories reflected on print. Try to scour the virtual marketplace for this purpose. You will find so many selections there and you can even order some stuff in other states or countries. Make sure that you note the budget for each essential expense so you can make adjustments later on.
Third, plan your honeymoon as well. It would be pretty ridiculous to go into all these details and forget the honeymoon. Keep in mind that while your guests will be looking forward to the wedding, your spouse will be looking forward to spending time with you. Here, make sure you go over the vital details for this as well. If you're planning to travel, check for airfare and hotel rates early and book them. Last but certainly not the least, schedule appointments with specific people ahead of time. That way, you will not end up rushing them to get their jobs done. This will also free you from the stress of last-minute preparations.
