When you are planning your wedding and finance in an issue, it is still possible to have a classy and beautiful wedding. When you plan a wedding on a tight budget you first have to start with checklist of the activities that are important for the success of your wedding.

When finance is an issue it means that you will have to perform a lot of the activities that your wedding coordinator would have performed. Rather than paying professional service providers such as caterers, photographers, entertainers and florists you can seek the help of your family and friends.

You can save money by baking your own cakes, making you own wedding favors. You can save by printing your own invitations and making your own bouquet using flowers from your garden and decorating your wedding venues. Simple centerpieces with flowers and simple decorative pieces can look rather chic.

One of the things that contribute to wedding cost is invitees. You may want to narrow your guest list to your family and closest friends. Face it, it is not possible to invite all your friends and family and yes some will be disappointed.

Before you select a venue you may want to shop around do some negotiating and bargaining with the owners. You can also consider having your wedding on the beach. Food and beverages can make your wedding cost go to the roof.

Dinners may increase your cost so you may prefer to have a brunch or luncheon at small but classy restaurant. If you are able to you can prepare your own juices using your local fruits as well as all your finger foods, pies and meats. You may want to cut back on some of the alcoholic beverages and expensive champagne to save even more on your bill.

Rather than ordering or buying your wedding dress and suits you may opt to have it made by your local seamstress and tailor, rent a dress or even borrow a dress from a friend. If you are considering buying a dress or suit then you forgo the expensive designer attire and seat for the on sale less expensive ones. Another way to cut cost is by having the wedding party pay for their attire.

For example instead of hiring live entertainment you can use a DJ or borrow some music from a friend and use your own multimedia center, computer etc to play the music. Just hook up a decent pair of speakers and you are good to go. You do not need a videographer; you can settle for a photographer or ask a friend or student who is good at taking photographs at a small fee.

Planning a wedding on a tight budget does not mean that you have to try to try and squeeze on every penny. It simply means doing away with the things that are not necessary. When you are on a tight budget you do not have to sacrifice all your fantasies. A shoe string budget simply requires that you do plan very carefully and efficiently. As with any budget, you must make allocation for sudden changes in the price of items but you can still have a chic, classy and beautiful wedding; you are just simply cutting out all the bells and whistles.
