Ideas To Make Your Wedding Stand Out From The Crowd

[ad_1]

Weddings are generally very traditional occasions, but more and more young people are starting to come up with ideas that break away from the traditional church wedding.

One change that has occurred is that there are fewer tendencies for the groom and his ushers to dress in formal wedding suits. Instead they are dressing in more casual suits. This looks modern and stylish, and also helps the guys feel more comfortable.

Another thing that has been introduced is the idea of themed weddings, such as 60's swing or 50's rock and roll. With the guests all encouraged to join in, these weddings can have a much less formal feel though still have all the love of a traditional wedding. These weddings also make for stunning wedding photography.

Other things occurring at weddings can be props such as gilt frames, again making a fun party piece for post ceremony and evening photographs. Tables consisting of sweet bowls, candy, giant lollipops and such are ideal for weddings that have lots of kids, as are children's entertainers (not that the adults are not allowed to indulge!) Another fun twist I have photographed is a wedding where all of the bridal party were wearing converse trainers! This looked very cool and was in keeping with the character of the bride and groom. Their choice of VW Camper van as a wedding car fitted perfectly that day too.

The food is another area where you can be creative. Weddings where the guests are all served fish and chips make for a great meal, especially when served on grease-proof paper designed to look like old newspaper print.

There are many more quirky and different ideas that are now much more widely seen at weddings, all of which go towards making the occasion the fun day it should be, and sometimes going some way to move weddings into the 21st century and truly representing the look of the young people of today.

The key thing for me is that a wedding no longer has to strictly conform to what you feel it should. It's your day and you can have it exactly how you want, what's important is the reason you are there. So why not try and do something a little bit different. Think of all the weddings your guests might go to this year – why not make your wedding the one they talk about the most!
