Plan a Wedding on a Budget – Your Easy Guide

[ad_1]

There are a lot of people who believe that in order for you to be able to mount a wedding in a grand way you need a big budget. Well, it is true that with a big budget you can really have a memorable wedding. However, it does not follow that when you have a small budget you can not have the same effect. With a little bit of creativity and resourcefulness you can plan a wedding on a budget that you can really be proud of. Here are some tips to guide you.

From the start you must already set a fixed amount that you are willing to spend for your wedding. It is easier to control your spending when you are sure of how much money you have. Do not get into deals with any wedding suppliers until you have finalized your budget.

If you plan a wedding on a budget you should also exam your priorities really well. Know the area where you would want to spend much on. If your priority is to really look great on your wedding day then set aside a larger amount for your wedding gown. If you want your guests to have a grand time then reserve a larger amount for the reception related things like food and venue decorations.

Know the areas where you can get help from your family and friends for free. For example, if you have a brother who is part of a church choir you can ask him to request his choir mates to sing on your wedding day. Chances are they will sing for you for free or for if not, they will just ask a minimal amount.

When you plan a wedding on a budget you should also look at other things that you can do or prepare on your own. Wedding invitations for example do not have to be printed by professional printing companies. You can make them using your own computer. There are a lot designs that you can download from the net. The paper you will use should not be a problem as well because there are many nice papers available in craft or stationary stores. Now, it is also okay to send out informal invitations through emails or save-this-date cards months before the wedding. This is done not really to replace a formal invitation but to know in advance who will attend and who will not. Knowing the number of your guests early on will help you manage your budget better.

Aside from the invitations, you can also make the souvenirs on your own. There are so many arts and crafts projects that you can do now and some of them can be used to make your wedding souvenirs. This may take time though so better start early. As your wedding day nears you may not have sufficient time to spend creating art projects.

Lastly, when you plan a wedding on a budget, always remember that the beauty of your wedding will not solely depend on your gown, venue design, food or souvenirs. Much of it will depend on the relationship you will share with your partner, relatives and friends.
