Setting Up a Wedding Budget Plan

[ad_1]

It seems like the cost of getting married is becoming higher and higher. For the average couple, the costs are just becoming too expensive. Many couples are just looking for a way to cut down expenses. The average couple is probably not looking to spend more than $ 5000 for their wedding. The good news is that you can still have the wedding of your dreams for that price. All you need to do is look for ways to save money.

In this article, I am going to give you some great tips on how to cut costs on your wedding. You'll be surprised how easy this is to accomplish.

First off, get a budget. Yes, I know that may sound like common sense. That's because it is. But it's important that you know what you can and can not afford. You have to know where you stand as far as cash flow is concerned. The last thing you want is to be in debt after your wedding. After all, you've got a long future together as a couple. You are going to need that money to build a future for yourself.

To calculate your budget, figure out what you need to live on each month. Think of all your bills and expenses that you pay every month. This should give you some idea of what you can afford to spend. For the average couple, it's about $ 5000. For some, it may be more, for others, it may be less. But this should give you a ballpark figure.

Now that we have that out of the way, let's take a look at how you can start saving some money on your wedding.

You can buy wholesale flowers. Believe it or not, it's not as difficult as you would think to make your own flower arrangements. We do live in the internet age, and there are seemingly an infinite amount of free tutorials on how to set up your own flower arrangements. It does not really take up that much time.

You can buy your dress on eBay. You may think "that's not for me". Well, I suggest that you reconsider. There are so many great wedding dress buys on eBay that your head would spin. Just make sure you are buying from a trusted seller. Make sure to check their feedback ratings.

Do not forget to negotiate. You would be amazed at the kind of prices you can get, if you just simply ask for them. Tell the vendor that you are limited budget. Chances are, they can lower the price for you.

Ask about a sponsorship. There are businesses in the wedding industry who just want to get their name out there. These businesses could sponsor a part of your wedding for free, as long as they get some publicity for it. For example, your wedding cake, could have a little ad, saying who made the cake.

You can search for discount wedding invitations. Just go to Google, and type in the phrase "discount wedding invitations". You'll be amazed at what you find. Quite frankly, I do not think you would have to spend more than 30 to 50 dollars on invitations.

Have an affordable meal for your guests. You do not have to go all out when it comes to food. This probably is not going to be a Royal Wedding. Your guests are there to see you, not to eat caviar.

Go with a DJ instead of a band. In general, bands are a lot more expensive. Plus, with a DJ, you get more variety in the music.
