Top Tips For Planning a Wedding on a Budget

[ad_1]

Saving money on your wedding can be easier than you would imagine; it is perfectly possible to have a budget wedding with an expensive look. The process of saving money on your wedding begins by simply writing down everything that you want and then putting your plan into action.

Start by choosing the date of the wedding and confirming that the vicar and the church (or registry office and registrar) are both available on that day. Once this step is completed, the budget wedding can be a piece of cake!

A wedding does not have to be huge for it to look good. The budget wedding party should be composed of the bride and groom, at least one attendant for the bride, and a best man for the groom. If you want and can afford more than this, then that is fine, but if not then this is perfectly adequate.

Once your wedding party is chosen, you will need to choose the colors to use as the theme for your wedding. Choose a color scheme that is appropriate for the time of year. You probably can not go wrong with gold, and cream, as those colors will work no matter what time of the year that you chose to get married. One or more of these colors will be used for your flowers, dresses, decorations, invitations, etc.

It is best to involve as few people as possible in the planning of your wedding. However, if you really want to try and make the most of the money you have available a good photographer is well worth paying for. If you do not know a good low cost photographer, then find one person whose photography work you have seen, to take pictures at the wedding and reception for you. Digital cameras obviously make this a lot simpler as mistakes can be deleted and a new shot taken immediately.

With the wedding cake, shop around for the best price. Ideally you want at least two tiers or three if you can afford it. Some of you may even be lucky enough to have a cake maker in the family, so make sure that you ask around before you commit yourself to paying the full price in a shop.

As for the reception, most people have family members who would be willing and able to help prepare the food. Once you plan what you would like to eat at the reception, ask family members if they would be able to help out by cooking some of these items for you, if you supply the ingredients. You will be amazed at how much money you can save if you cater your own food.

Overall, if you plan your wedding well, you can still have your perfect day but without a huge bill to return to when the honeymoon is over!
