I want to run through some ideas for unusual wedding gifts. Remember that these are unlicely to be bought by anyone else. If you do not know the couple getting married then this could back fire on you a bit.

A lot of couples already live with each other before they get married. This makes it extremely difficult to know what to buy them. In my opinion this gives you the right to buy something a little different. If you do not buy unusual wedding gifts then they are likely to already have what you buy and that would disappoint them.

So first on the list of unusual wedding gifts are pets. In my memory I do not remember anyone ever buying a pet for a wedding. I do not know why that is because the couple are now a family are not they? Why would not they want a pet as a way of improving that family?

Are they adrenalin junkies? How about a parachute jump? If they have never done something like this before then this would be a great present. This will be something to tell their grandchildren about.

Something for the home is always good. If you are struggling because they already live together then something that you could get is a gadget. Gadgets definitely count as unusual wedding gifts. How about one of those tin openers that open the tin automatically without needing your hands?

Now if you have a big ego then this would be a perfect one. How about a photo frame (but not just any photo frame)? One that has a photo of you and the happy couple in there. Ideally you will be in the middle of them with your arms around their shoulders. You will be able to see how long they keep the picture in there.

This article has been a little tongue in cheek. The reasons for this are that people worry too much about buying wedding gifts. In reality the happy couple would not even remember, so why not have some fun with your unusual wedding gifts?
