Wedding Ideas For Animal Lovers

[ad_1]

Many people love animals. They try to live their lives showing kindness and respect for animals of all shapes and sizes. For these couples, their wedding is another occasion to show their love for animals.

There are many ways to make your wedding as respectful of animals as possible. The first question is whether or not to serve meat. Not all animal lovers are vegetarians, after all. If you do want to have meat at your wedding, choose your caterer with care. Look for one that will source less cruel meats such as free-range poultry. Obviously, you would want to stay away from meats like veal and goose-liver pâté.

Another wedding idea for animal lovers is to use your special event as a way to donate to worthy causes. A popular idea is to give pledges to a charity in lieu of traditional favors. Simply place a card at each guest's place setting informing them that a donation has been made in their name to whatever charity you have selected. Be respectful of the fact that you are making the donation in someone else's name, and choose a non-controversial organization like the Humane Society or a local animal shelter. Your research scientist uncle would probably not thank you for giving money in his name to a group that raids research labs at colleges, for example.

You can also decide to make a charitable donation in the names of your attendants. Do not forgo traditional bridesmaid or groomsmen gifts, entirely though. Make the donation a supplement to a more personal hand-selected gift for your groomsmen and bridesmaids.

There are more sub ways that you can have an animal friendly wedding. Some vegetarians also avoid other animal products, so seek out alternatives when choosing your wedding ensemble. Instead of a silk gown, a linen wedding dress would be a great option. There are also a surprising number of vegan safe wedding shoes available over the internet. You will not have to sacrifice great style to stay true to your beliefs on your wedding day!

Seek out cruelty-free products for the rest of your wedding, as well. You can stock the restroom with soaps and toilets that were not tested on animals. There are many products available that are both luxurious and ethical.

If done tastefully, your wedding can also be a platform for you to introduce your friends and family to ways to help animals. For example, instead of a traditional bridal shower, why not ask your bridesmaids to join you in a fundraiser walk for an animal shelter? It would be a fun thing that would bring the whole group closer together while doing good for animals.

Being an animal lover means that you always look for ways to do right by them. Your wedding day should certainly be no exception. In fact, with a little creativity, it is possible to find many ways that you can respect animals while still having a fantastic wedding.
